The Mosasaurs were giant prehistoric marine reptiles that lived during the  Cretaceous period, between 65 - 70 million years ago.

Related to dinosaurs, Mosasaurs lived in shallow, inland seas, and grew up to around 50 feet in length.

This large example of a Mosasuar tooth is of type 'Prognathodon', and was found in Morocco. Mounted on a plinth of oak, this would make an unusual gift!

Now available in the Timeless Galleries.
